Everyone knows when it comes to healthy eating, the better a recipe tastes and looks, the more likely a person is to stick with eating, right? The same is true for kids.

We’ve all been there.
“Is my child eating enough?”
“Is my picky eater getting the nutrition they need?”
It can be tough to get the right amount of vitamins into kids when they have strong preferences for certain foods and even stronger aversions to others. We want them to eat right and be as healthy as possible. But how do we get them to eat the right amount of the proper foods?
One way we have found to get the proper nutrients into little bodies is by getting creative with the presentation. Whether it’s masking veggies in a casserole or plating food in an aesthetically pleasing way, you can’t deny kids usually enjoy a fun dish.
Since we know this, it’s only fitting that we have taken some of the yummiest and healthiest food around (fruit!) and made it even more appealing. Behold the strawberry banana mango smoothie bowl!
Yep, you read that right. What’s so amazing about a smoothie bowl, you ask? It’s all in the presentation. Instead of the plain ol’ smoothie-in-a-cup (who are we kidding? Those are awesome, too), we’ve put it in a bowl so it resembles ice cream! We also topped it with several fun and healthy toppings for an extra dose of impressiveness.
With this smoothie bowl, you can be sure kids are getting important vitamins and nutrients they need to fuel them throughout the day. And bonus, it’s great for moms, too! Whip up enough of this strawberry banana mango smoothie bowl for everyone in the morning. It’s easy and delicious!

- 1 cup of strawberries
- 1/2 of an avocado
- 1/3 cup of almond mild

Directions
- Combine all ingredients into a blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy with the consistency of ice cream.
- Pour into a bowl and top with your favorite toppings.
Because this recipe is so easy to make, we don’t recommend you make it ahead of time so that it won’t lose it’s ice cream consistency. We do recommend you measure out all of your ingredients the night before and then take five minutes in the morning to blend and enjoy!
It’s a super healthy and delicious way to start the day! (Pin this recipe to your favorite healthy recipes board)
