Buying Christmas presents can seem like a guessing game especially if you’re looking for non-toy gift ideas for kids.

Toys are usually the default for children’s gifts and while they are fun to receive, let’s face it–kids don’t usually play with them very long.

The first solution is to become a donating machine. Of course donating is a good thing. It’s good to teach kids about giving to others and it’s good for us moms to declutter our homes but it can also be a hassle. Especially if your kids collect a lot of toys.

Stopping by the donation center can be one more thing to add to your already full “to-do” list.

The second option is the best in my opinion and that is to have a toy-free Christmas.

Toys are fun, but you know what lasts longer than the excitement over a toy? Time with family, lessons, crafts and other experiences.
